Pro Wrestling Event
Heartland Wrestling will hold a live Pro wrestling event with
Norwood Recreation at the Norwood Community Center on June 19th, August 21st, September 25th, October 30th, and December 18th at
7:30 PM. Doors open at 6:30 P.M
Heartland Wrestling's executive director of live event
operations is Norwood's
own Kris Ayers. Kris graduated from Norwood
in 2003. He worked for Norwood Recreation for 3 years as a
lifeguard. He has been involved with HWA for 5 years. While
being involved with HWA he has been all over Ohio
and parts of Kentucky, Indiana
and Illinois.
He wanted to bring HWA to Norwood
so that he would be close to home now that he is expecting a baby. He
also thought that this was an event that families in Norwood would enjoy and it is great fun for
the entire family.
Tickets are $10.00.
All ages welcome.

Easter
Egg Hunt in the Park
2009 Pictures
Norwood
Recreation Commission sponsors an Easter Egg Hunt every year at
Waterworks Park. This event is held every year on the Saturday before Good
Friday. The morning begins with the arrival of the Easter
Bunny
at 9:45 AM. The children can have their pictures taken for
free
with the Easter Bunny. We then begin the Easter Egg Hunt at
10:00
AM. This event is for children of all ages and there is no
charge. This event is made possible by donations from
businesses
and individuals from the Norwood Community.
Summer
Splash
This
FREE event will be held July 29th, 2010 at Waterworks Pool from 12:00-8:00 PM. This is our summer "Family Night."
We
offer FREE swimming, food, and live entertainment. This is a very
enjoyable evening for all and there is no charge. This event
is
made possible by donations from businesses and individuals from the
Norwood Community.
Halloween
in the Park
Halloween in the Park will take place at 6:15 PM on October 23rd, 2010 at Lindner Park. We begin
our
activities at 6:30 PM with a costume contest followed by a haunted
trail through Lindner Park. Each child also receives a goody
bag.
This is a fun evening for the entire family and there is no
charge
for this event. This event is made possible by donations from
businesses and individuals from the Norwood Community.
Christmas
in the Community
This event will take place on December 4th,
2010 at the Norwood Community
Center on Carter Ave. The morning begins at 10:00 AM with the
arrival of Santa Claus. We have free pictures with Santa,
food
and entertainment. The children can make Christmas crafts and
they receive a goodie bag. The event ends at 1:00 PM.
This
is another great family event and there is no charge. There
are
many people and companies that donate time, money and items for this
event.
